& Schiphol airport.Owner-run businesses with small premises can allow smoking throughout. Those with larger premises, or who employ staff, can offer indoor smoking rooms (Rookruimte). The majority, especially restaurants, have chosen to remain non-smoking although a significant number offer some form of outdoor space. In some cases these are semi-permanent structures with extensive screening, windbreaks, awnings and heaters.
